About us

History

Recognizing the threat of commercial development infringing upon the Osa Peninsula, Lana Wedmore founded the White Hawk Foundation in 2008 to conserve the land surrounding Corcovado National Park. By acquiring and preserving natural rainforest habitats, we provide a safe haven for life to thrive.

Mission

Preserving land and protecting the rich biodiversity of Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula rainforest through strategic partnerships, community engagement, and donor support. Our conservation programs empower local communities by promoting sustainable livelihoods and providing education, placing them at the heart of our mission.

Vision

A world where wildlife thrives in their natural habitats, supported by informed and engaged communities.
