How it all started

Seven years ago, the White Hawk Foundation opened its doors, its mission to protect the buffer zone surrounding Corcovado National Park through the purchase of properties in the area.

The area around the edge of Corcovado National Park in Carate is all for sale, comprising of 17 individual properties. If sold we could see unsustainable development in one of the most critical zones in the world for wildlife.

The White Hawk Foundation has been working for the last seven years to raise funds to buy these properties and place them under protection, whilst allowing the original owners to reside there should their activities not harm the biodiversity.
